Preparation
Specific types of diamond superabrasive discs are used through the various stages of
the floor restoration process.
Metal bond diamond discs (also
called matrix diamonds) are used for rough grinding, heavy stock
removal, leveling and flattening the floor. In general:
- Electroplated diamond discs are used on Marble and
Terrazzo
- Sintered and brazed diamond discs are used on Concrete, Granite & Marble
Rigid resinous diamond discs are used to grind, hone and polish
leveled floor surfaces.
Resin diamond discs with different diamond properties and bonding
agents are used on Concrete,
Granite, Marble and Terrazzo floor applications.
